Meet The Team

Allison began her cosmetology career in 2010 in Yuba City. As a young adult, she up-rooted to Sacramento, and has been part of our Strands Fam ever since! Out of all the amazing things she can do with a mane, Allison most enjoys working with mid/long length hair, and specializes in (totally epic) color corrections for both natural and fashion-colored hair clients. Not happy with another salon's job, or an at-home job? Allison's got your back! Whether she's performing a total rescue mission, or just giving you a fresh new look, she will get you where you want to be. Her favorite part of her career is being able to help people look and feel their best, meeting new people regularly, and hearing everyone's amazing travel stories. When she's not behind the chair, Allison loves exploring other countries, paddle and snowboarding in the summers and winters, cooking delicious (seriously, DE-LI-CIOUS!!!) food, and adventuring around with her fur-baby, Cusco.

Tony is our resident Aveda Master Stylist, and has been behind the chair since 2003. Tony met our owner and founder, Jacquie, at the start of his career. When she opened her first Strands Aveda Salon in 2005, she knew one thing for certain: Tony had to be part of the team. While Tony is quite-literally good at all things hair, he enjoys specializing in clipper cuts and short/men's cuts, and creating custom colors for both natural looks and color transformations. As a Master Stylist, he has also participated in new product development studies with Aveda, Inc. Tony's favorite thing about being a hair stylist is the freedom he has to drive his own career, and the daily opportunity to build relationships with people of different walks of life, whom he might have otherwise never met. He also enjoys encouraging his clients to step outside of their comfort zones when it comes to their self-expression. When Tony's not behind the chair, he's spending time with his wife and two kids, family, and friends. When he's alone, he enjoys watching sports, comedy, and taking a quiet moment to read.

Candace has been doing hair for over a decade, beginning her career right here in Sacramento. Since 2012, she's built an impressive clientele that keeps her calendar booked for weeks in advance! Like all our talent here at Strands, we're far-stretched to find a hair task Candace can't do. Her specialities include natural, lived-in color by way of balayage and ombre styles with beautiful, melty shadow roots. She also enjoys the polarity of having mastered thick, long hairstyles, and super-short clipper cuts. Candace's favorite part of her career is the daily opportunity to serve the various and unique needs of others- every single day is different, which keeps life colorful and fun. When she's not behind the chair, Candace loves being in nature- camping, foraging, and paddle boarding are frequent favorites of hers. She also dabbles in photography and meditation, and loves going on fun outings with her friends, like concerts, dancing, and group karaoke nights.

Dominic has been serving Sacramento with his phenomenal Massage Therapy since 2014, and has built an impressive, loving clientele here in East Sacramento over the past decade. Amongst his versatile menu of massage therapies, Dominic specializes in Craniosacral Therapy, Calming/Sleep Massage, and sports massage therapy, and also has extensive experience with Prenatal Massage. His favorite thing about his career is the opportunity to quite-literally help people leave feeling better than when they arrived, and to make a difference in their overall wellness, inner peace, and happiness. The Strands Family is also truly Dominic's family! He is Stylist Keri's other half and as a result, a beloved brother-in-law to Owner and Founder, Jacquie. His spare time is best spent with Keri and their dog, and enjoying gardening as a personal hobby. Fun fact: You know all the cute greenery we have around the salon? Dominic is our resident Green Thumb-- he leads the charge on keeping those babies alive!

With five years of experience in the beauty industry, Gian brings a wealth of knowledge and skill to every haircut and fantasy color creation. Having recently relocated from Florida to California, Gian is excited to bring their passion for hairstyling and dedication to inclusivity to the Sacramento community, As a queer stylist, he's deeply committed to providing a welcoming and affirming environment for all individuals. Through ongoing education and a love for artistic expression, he aims to create personalized looks that empower and inspire each of his clients. Gian loves being creative in and out of the salon, when they aren't behind the chair they love drawing, sewing and fiber arts.

With 15 years of experience as a hairstylist at Strands, Jennifer has honed a passion for creating beautiful looks while prioritizing sustainability and wellness. Known for a personalized approach and knowledge of Aveda products, she specializes in color techniques and personalized cuts that enhance each client's beauty. Jennifer graduated from the Aveda Institute in Chapel Hill and has continually refined her skills through advanced training and workshops. She is committed to using Veda's eco-friendly color and product, ensuring clients leave feeling rejuvenated and empowered. Beyond the salon, she enjoys spending time with her family in nature, gardening and reading books of all genres. Her dedication to excellence and passion for her craft makes her stand out in the field, beloved by clients and colleagues alike.

Kellie wants to live in a world where nail polish doesn’t chip, memories were never forgotten and teddy bears could talk. As a stylist, her work has been showcased on the beautiful people walking the streets of Sacramento. From the stay at home mom to the top business executive, she makes them look and feel their best by feeding their soul and designing a style that fits their life! She brings to the table not only the love affair she has with her craft but over 30 years of extensive training from AVEDA and Vidal Sassoon. She is a lover of the human connection one builds with their hairstylist. When she’s not making people look and feel gorgeous, you can find her being a mama to her three boys (tho she’s about to be an empty nester!) and getting the occasional downward dog pose in; she has yet to perfect the eagle pose, but trusts one day it will be there for her. She is so excited to bring her clientele to the Strands Family and looks forward to meeting new friends she can share her love for Aveda and her talents she so treasures!

Keri began working with Strands years ago at our former location in Natomas. Her favorite thing about being a hair stylist is the creativity outlet, and the daily socialization. If you're familiar with Keri, you know she always has hilarious stories to share, and she is the owner's sister. Of all her talents, Keri specializes in all-things color (highlights, balayage, grey blending- you name it!) and is particularly skilled with elegant up-do's. Her normal hours are Tuesday-Saturday. Call or go online to get yourself on her book-- you won't regret it! When she's not behind the chair, Keri enjoys spending as much time as possible with her husband (who you may also know) and their dog. She loves tuning-in to true crime documentaries and biopics, and frequently getting together with her family and friends.

Mariangel has been a hair stylist since 2007, having started her career in her home state of New Jersey. In 2018 she made her way over to the west coast to live her California dream, and has been part of our Strands family ever since. While Mariangel has built and serves a very diverse clientele here in Sacramento, she specializes in natural-looking low-maintenance color, expressive fashion colors, and attractive wash-and-go styles. In addition to the daily creative outlet, her favorite thing about being a hair stylist is the opportunity to see how even the smallest change can make a big difference in someone's life, especially when it comes to their self-esteem, and that she has the privilege of providing that special change. When she's not behind the chair, Mariangel enjoys painting and traveling and it's no surprise that she loves to make people laugh! Catch her stand-up show at the comedy club downtown —just kidding, we can dream, though…

Susie began her career at Strands in 2010 and after taking time to raise and homeschool her beautiful son, We are happy to have her back working her magic as an Esthetician once again. She has been a licensed since 2016 and kept up on her education, beauty trends and products during her break. She specializes in skin conditions such as facials and quick Brazilians as well as lash lifts with tints. Her facials incorporate goal oriented results while offering the relaxation and pampering of an Aveda spa facial. Susie is passionate about Esthetics and helping others "love the skin they're in."

Veronica has served the Sacramento area as an Esthetician since 2008, having started her career in Citrus Heights. Of all her exquisite treatments, Veronica enjoys specializing in therapeutic facials, physical rejuvenation, and delivering her services with a relaxed-mind, meditative experience. Her favorite part of her career is being a true asset to her clients' wellness in a way that is noticeable and measurable, boosting their self-love and confidence, and the personal relationships she's built over the years. When Veronica is away from the spa, she loves spending her time hiking and paddle boarding; being in nature is what brings her the most joy! She also enjoys photography and gardening, and adventuring around with her precious kitty-kid, Winslow (who even has her own Instagram to document all her wonderful wandering!)
